Here you can see my first impressions of the text "Opening a Gate" by John Berger. The text created a quite mysterious but also very peaceful and harmonious atmosphere. I took these pictures before reading the text, but they fit my impression of the text very well. I was mostly inspired by the quote "I notice also in each photograph the special light, the light determined by the time of day or the season of the year. It is invariably, the light in which figures hunt - for animals, forgotten names, a path leading home, a new day, sleep, the next lorry, spring. A light in which there is no permanance, a light of nothing longer than a glimpse. This too is a key to opening a gate."
